One Taste e-liquid flavours, formats and strengths compared
One bottle, one flavour, one 50/50 base. On paper, One Taste e-liquid from French maker E.Tasty is about as simple as a range gets. In practice the same fruit comes as a ready-to-vape 10 ml, a nicotine salt and a 50 ml shortfill, with strengths that change from one recipe to the next. We sorted the range by flavour family, then compared its three formats on the two points that decide a purchase, the strength you can reach and the hardware that suits it.
One Taste e-liquid in brief, single flavours on one 50/50 base
One Taste is E.Tasty’s single-flavour range. Each recipe is built around one main flavour on the same base, 50% propylene glycol and 50% vegetable glycerine, from fruit to the classics, the French trade name for tobacco-style blends.
The ready-to-vape 10 ml covers almost the whole catalogue, from 0 to 12 mg/ml for fruit and menthol recipes and up to 18 mg/ml for the classics. Around ten recipes also come as 10 ml nicotine salts at 10 or 20 mg/ml. Part of the range is sold as a nicotine-free 50 ml shortfill, to be topped up with one or two nicotine shots.
With the ratio identical everywhere, it settles nothing. The choice comes down to flavour family first, then to the format that reaches the strength you want.
The three One Taste e-liquid formats side by side
Figures come from the manufacturer’s range page and the product sheets of two French retailers. Shortfill strengths are worked out for 10 ml nicotine shots at 20 mg/ml, with the result for 18 mg/ml shots in brackets.
| Criterion | Ready-to-vape 10 ml | 10 ml nicotine salts | 50 ml shortfill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nicotine as sold | 0, 3, 6 or 12 mg/ml, up to 18 mg/ml for the classics | 10 or 20 mg/ml | 0 mg/ml |
| Strength after shots | Not applicable | Not applicable | 3.3 mg/ml with one shot, 5.7 mg/ml with two (3.0 and 5.1 mg/ml) |
| PG/VG ratio | 50/50 | 50/50 | 50/50, kept with a 50/50 shot |
| Choice | Almost the whole range | Around ten recipes | Part of the range, including three classics |
| Throat hit | Noticeable from 12 mg/ml | Softer at equal strength | Light |
| Suggested draw | MTL | MTL | MTL or restricted DL |
In the UK, the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 cap nicotine e-liquid at 20 mg/ml and nicotine refill bottles at 10 ml, which is why the large format is sold without nicotine. One 20 mg/ml shot adds 200 mg of nicotine, spread over 60 ml for 3.3 mg/ml, and two shots give 400 mg over 70 ml, or 5.7 mg/ml. The retailers we checked stop at two shots, beyond which the flavour thins out.
One last point. The maker keeps 18 mg/ml for the classics, yet two retailers list that strength on Fraise sauvage (wild strawberry), Menthe fraîche (fresh mint) and Chlorophylle. Check the strength on the recipe’s own page rather than the range page.
The flavour families of the range
The catalogue falls into four families plus two colas. The names place most recipes at a glance, as long as you spot the words that change the sensation, givré (iced), frais (fresh) or mentholé (minty).
Fruit, the largest family
Berries open the list with Fruits rouges (red fruits), Framboise sauvage (wild raspberry), Myrtille sauvage (wild blueberry), described as intense and tart, and Cerise noire, a sweeter bigarreau black cherry. Juicy and orchard fruit follow with Pastèque juteuse (watermelon), Pêche (peach), Poire juteuse (pear), Pomme croquante (apple) and Raisin exquis (grape).
Citrus and exotic notes round it off with Citron vert (lime), Pamplemousse (grapefruit), Ananas (pineapple), Mangue juteuse (mango), Fruit du dragon (dragon fruit) and Fruit du serpent (snake fruit), the last one close to pineapple according to its description.
Menthol and fresh fruit
Cassis frais (blackcurrant) and Citron givré (iced lemon) mark the border, two fruits the maker pairs with a cooling sensation, while Fruits rouges mentholés adds mint to the berries.
For pure mint, Menthe polaire is billed as icy and frosted, Menthe fraîche stays more traditional and Chlorophylle offers a green kind of freshness.
Sweet recipes and colas
Vanille dorée works a smooth vanilla with a hint of Madagascar, Caramel doré a vanilla caramel. Café expresso and Café spéculos lean towards roasted coffee, Noisette towards hazelnut.
As for the colas, Pop cola keeps to a fresh, fizzy cola and Cherry cola adds a tart cherry.
Single flavour, a promise to read recipe by recipe
E.Tasty presents One Taste as a single-flavour range, developed one aroma at a time. The promise holds for most of the fruit, mint and sweet recipes.
Elsewhere it bends. Café spéculos pairs coffee with spiced biscuit, Fruits rouges anisés adds a touch of aniseed to the berries, and several classics carry a second note, vanilla and caramel for Memphis, toasted almond for Walton.
The flavour count is no steadier. The maker’s range presentation announces 48 flavours, another panel on the same site counts 31 and a large retailer lists 24. The three figures cannot all be right, and only the live list of recipes shows what actually exists.
The classics compared
This is the family with the most nuance, thirteen recipes, most of them sold only in 10 ml. We grouped them by intensity and dominant note, based on the maker’s descriptions.
| Style | Recipes | Formats |
|---|---|---|
| Light | Brighton (extra light), Dawson (light, red fruit notes) | 10 ml |
| Neutral blond | United (dry, lightly sweet), Kenton, Classic BLD (rounded), Madison (blond blend) | 10 ml, plus 50 ml for United and Kenton, salts for United |
| Blond with sweet notes | Virginia and Classic USA (caramelised), Memphis (vanilla and caramel), Houston (biscuit) | 10 ml, plus 50 ml and salts for Virginia |
| Full-bodied | Walton (toasted almond), Harrison (intense dark classic) | 10 ml |
| Menthol | United menthol | 10 ml |
United is the most versatile classic. Along with Virginia, it is the only one sold in all three formats, so the flavour stays the same when moving from 10 ml to salts or to the shortfill. Virginia leads into the softer blonds, Kenton offers a neutral profile in 50 ml, and Harrison remains the only dark classic in the catalogue.
Verdict by draw style
A 50/50 base is fluid enough for the fine wicking of pod and tank coils without drying the cotton, and UK-compliant tanks and pods hold no more than 2 ml. The verdict therefore depends mainly on the strength you are after.
Mouth to lung (MTL)
This is the natural ground for One Taste e-liquid. Between 3 and 12 mg/ml, the ready-to-vape 10 ml offers the widest choice. For a higher strength with a softer hit, the salts take over across four fruit recipes, two mints, two classics and two sweet recipes, along the lines explained in our TornadoLiq nic salt comparison.
Our pick goes to the recipes sold in all three formats, such as Cerise noire, Fruits rouges, Menthe polaire or United. They let you change strength without changing flavour.
Direct lung and sub-ohm (DL)
The range is not built for this style. On a sub-ohm tank the volume of vapour multiplies the nicotine delivered with each puff, which rules out the salts and the 10 ml at 12 or 18 mg/ml. Only the 50 ml shortfill at around 3 mg/ml fits, with less dense vapour than a glycerine-rich liquid.
A range designed for direct lung vaping, like the one in our Juice Heroes flavour comparison, is the better choice here. To set One Taste against another fruit range, our Multi Freeze flavour guide sorts its recipes by fruit pairing.
FAQ
Five questions the product pages of the range leave unanswered.
What does TPD-Ready mean on One Taste labels?
It flags a product designed to meet the EU Tobacco Products Directive, which limits the size and strength of nicotine refill bottles and requires notification before sale. The UK kept the same limits in its own regulations, and a bottle sold in the UK must also be notified to the MHRA.
Does the range come in 100 ml bottles?
No. The maker’s range page lists only 10 ml and 50 ml, depending on the flavour. The brand does sell larger bottles, but not in this range.
Can two One Taste flavours be mixed in one bottle?
Yes, and the single-flavour idea lends itself to it. Every recipe shares the same 50/50 base, so the blend stays even. The final strength is the average of the two bottles, weighted by the volumes poured.
Does a 50 ml shortfill need to rest after adding nicotine shots?
Resting is not essential, but a firm shake of about a minute spreads the nicotine through the bottle. A few hours’ wait then lets the mix settle, especially after two shots.
How should an opened bottle be stored?
At room temperature, away from light and with the cap tightly closed. Light and air degrade nicotine and flavourings, which shows as a darkening liquid and a duller flavour.
One Taste e-liquid, choose the format before the flavour
The 10 ml covers almost every flavour up to 12 mg/ml, and up to 18 mg/ml for the classics. The salts handle higher strengths on around ten recipes, while the 50 ml shortfill tops out near 5.7 mg/ml with two 20 mg/ml shots.
Start from the strength, then pick the family. With One Taste e-liquid, the recipes sold in all three formats leave the most room to adjust without giving up a flavour, a useful habit for any e-liquid range compared on this site.
